Therefore, it can be identified that employee work pressure would arise from below perspectives
Pay scheme related work pressure
Work pressure would arise due to the lack of pay scheme and other incentives for the employees. There are instances where employees are given lower salary than the industry rates and the lack of possibility of fulfilling their needs using current salary scheme would create pressures on the employees.
Career progression related work pressure
When there is no proper career progression plan for the
employees, they tend to be stagnant in the company without any clear direction
for the employee succession. Therefore, work pressure would build within the
employees’ mind due to the lack of opportunities available for employees
Supervisor related work pressure
When there are conflicts between supervisors as well as subordinates for numerous reasons, work pressure would build up.
Work life balance pressure
When there is lack of opportunity for employees to maintain a proper balance between work life as well as the personal life, there is a pressure build up.
It is identified that the employee turnover would go up when
there is a higher pressure for the employees since it drastically reduces the
quality of work, efficiency as well as the effectiveness of the work.
Therefore, it is required to manage work pressure properly of the employees
where the establishment of proper career progression planning for employees
needs to be considered. Moreover, assessment of job description of the
employees and undertaking of appropriate job redesigning within the
organization to ensure that job duties are segregated equally among employees
in a way that proper work life balance is maintained
